Follow the following steps to fix your joy-con thumbstick.
- Remove batteries from controller
- Using your thumb move the thumbstick to the side to show the dust guard
- Using a toothpick gently lift the dust guard
- Use the narrow spray applicator of the can to apply some contact cleaner under the dust guard.
- Using your thumb move the stick in all directions
- Leave for a few minutes to evaporate
